your personal Personal Injury

If you have suffered a personal injury, you may be entitled to compensation. Personal injury lawsuits are filed by individuals injured due to the negligence of another. The injury may be either physical or emotional, and it can arise from a variety of sources or conduct. Some of the most common types of personal injuries that give rise to legal liability on the part of the wrongdoer include slip and fall, automobile accidents, assaults and battery, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries. The general goal of personal injury actions is to determine who was responsible and to compel them to compensate the injured person for the losses sustained.

Car Accident

If you have been seriously injured in a car accident, you will need to prove that either a person negligently operated a vehicle, which caused the accident or some defect involving the vehicle or the roadway caused the accident.

Commercial Truck Accident

A traffic accident involving a truck, such as a big rig tractor trailer or eighteen wheeler, can be much worse than an ordinary car accident. Semi truck accidents comprise a significant number of motor vehicle injury accidents, as well as deaths each year.
An accident involving a large commercial truck may create liability for the driver of the trailer, the owner of the container being transported, and the owner of the load in the container. In the event that you or a loved one is involved in a serious accident with a commercial truck, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries by bringing a legal claim against the responsible parties.

In truck collisions, federal regulations require over the road trucks to carry various levels of insurance coverage, depending on the nature of materials being hauled. The State of California requires a tractor trailer truck to carry a much higher minimum liability insurance policy than a typical passenger vehicle. Many times, trucking hauling, and leasing companies may argue over which insurance company is responsible for compensating the victim in a truck collision. Current federal regulations protect the innocent party by helping to ensure coverage.

Slip and Fall

Premises liability law involves the legal responsibilities of property owners and occupiers to prevent injuries to persons on their property. One of the most common causes of such injuries is a trip or slip and fall. Property owner liability varies depending on the rules and principles adopted in the jurisdiction where the injury occurred.

The fact that you could become injured from a slip, trip, or fall does not necessarily mean that someone else is legally responsible for your injury. The owner of a business has a legal duty and responsibility to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition, or at least warn the public of a dangerous condition that they caused, were aware of, or should have been aware of. If these tests are not met, and you injure yourself on their property as a result of their failure to meet these conditions, you may have a valid claim against the business owner.

Animal Attack

Every year millions of people are injured in animal attacks all over the US. Injury victims may face mounting medical bills, lost wages, and other out of pocket expenses. Given the expense, it is important to have a qualified attorney by your side, making sure the proper investigation is completed and that you are properly compensated.

Wrongful Death

Wrongful death claims allege that the deceased died as a result of the negligence or liability of another. Surviving relatives, dependents, or beneficiaries may bring suit against those they claim to as responsible, seeking monetary damages to compensate for the losses.

Each state has its own statute defining what kinds of claims can be made for a wrongful death, and these often differ from state to state. In California, only certain persons are allowed to bring suit for a family member’s death. If you are a child, you are entitled to monetary damages for the support, care and guidance from the deceased parent if liability is proven.
