Julianne vandergrift, esq.
Of Counsel
Ms. Vandergrift has successfully settled hundreds of civil and family law cases in her career. As a brand new attorney, she sat second chair on a four day trial resulting in her client's victory. As a certified mediator, she often negotiates agreements in high conflict cases, resulting in reduced costs and stress. A passionate advocate, Ms. Vandergrift has years of experience in all major areas of the law. Much of her experience is with asset distribution, custody and visitation matters, civil disputes and guardianships.
Ms. Vandergrift is the Director of Legal Outreach for the Social Justice Advocacy Program, Inc. Through SJAP, Ms. Vandergrift provides information and advise at legal clinics, helps clients in need with preparation and representation in court and organizes clinics in the San Gabriel Valley to benefit the poor and disenfranchised. She has a special interest in single parents who are victims of domestic violence.
My Values:
Commitment- If I choose to take your case, I will commit to see it through to completion, develop a strategy, and be upfront about what it will take to succeed in your matter.
Integrity- I am honest. I am straightforward about costs, likelihood of outcomes and whether I think a matter should be pursued in court. I work hard to efficiently resolve matters outside of court because it is generally best for you and your family to do so. I will not create unnecessary work to have billable hours.
Compassion- I care.I will care personally about your case, your family and the impact your case has on you and them. I will minimize the time the case takes and the stress involved to the extent it is in my power to do so.
Communication- I am regularly accessible. Either myself (or my staff if I am in court) will get back to you within 48 hours on all non-urgent matters. For urgent issues, the return time is 12 hours. Because I limit my active cases, I have time to focus on your matter.
Family First –I respect your family time and ask you to respect mine. Thus, my hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday. I am available for emergencies outside those times.
Making Time for what Matters Most-I spend each Friday working on Pro Bono cases, speaking at women’s shelters, organizing and consulting at free legal clinics or otherwise engaged in service. Please see community outreach section to read more about my non-profit work.
